How do I Build a Crowdfunding Campaign

To build a Crowdfunding Campaign, go to Your Tools on the left side menu, click Fundraisers, then Crowdfunding, and Start Crowdfunding. Campaign Details, specify the type, create a name, set a goal, pick your dates. Will this be peer-to-peer fundraising and/or offering prizes? Design your campaign page with a description, picture, and custom sections. Donation Settings, address display preferences, preset amounts, fee structures, and required checkout fields. Sign Up or Log In

Navigate to Campaign Creation

  • Once logged in, find and click on the Fundraisers under Your Tools on the left side menu. Click Crowdfunding then the Start Crowdfunding button. This will direct you to the campaign creation page.

Campaign Details

  • Campaign Type - Select Crowdfunding.
  • Campaign Name - Create a compelling title that summarizes your campaign.
  • Goal - Set a fundraising target. You can select whether or not to display the fundraising goal on your page.
  • Duration - Choose the campaign duration by selecting the start and end dates and times.
  • Peer To Peer - Select whether individuals and teams will be raising funds. Link Here:

  • Prizes - If you decide to have individuals or teams fundraise, then you can select to offer prizes based on the funds raised. Link Here: 

Campaign Page Design

  • Description -  Describe your project or cause, why you need funds, and how the contributions will be used. 
  • Media - Add an image.
  • Custom Section - This section provides a separate space for information outside the main page description. Add a title and a description for your Custom Section. Link Here:

Donation Settings

  • Amounts Displayed - Select how your donation amounts appear.
  • Preset Donations - Donors may choose one of your preset donation amounts or enter their a custom donation amount at checkout.
  • Fee Type - Select the type of fee structure (% Processing Fee or Tip Model) that aligns with your project's needs. With the % Processing Fee, you will select how the Processing Fees are paid (Donors or the Organization). With the Tip Model, you will ask your donors to leave a tip for Givebacks so that the Processing Fees are waived. 

  • Required Fields At Checkout - The First and Last Name, the Email Address, and the Credit Card Information are automatically required. You can add additional fields to collect more information at checkout.

Campaign Page Link

  • Edit Custom Url - A link for your campaign page is automatically generated. You can select to edit the link by clicking the button Edit Custom URL. Link Here:

Review and Launch

  • Review all details entered. Ensure accuracy in the campaign information, goal amount, and campaign duration.
  • Click Preview Page in the top right corner to see what your donors will see.
  • Click Publish Campaign to make your campaign live.

Promote Your Campaign

  • Share your campaign link across social media, email, and other communication channels. Engage with your audience and encourage them to support your cause.

Manage Your Campaign

  • Regularly update your supporters with progress, milestones, and additional information.
  • Interact with your backers, answer questions, and express gratitude for their support.
