Enter activity results on your a-thon fundraiser

Logging activity results on your a-thon fundraiser is key to accomplishing your fundraiser's goals. The results you enter allow the system to automatically calculate how much to charge each donor for their per-unit pledges. Entering results can also provide you with an updated amount raised that can be shared among your network and show how close you are to meeting your overall experience goals.

Givebacks (Formerly MemberHub) Fundraisers offers two options for updating activity. You can enter the results manually, one at a time.  For your convenience, you can also update your activity by importing a spreadsheet containing all of your results. This article will walk you through both options.

Note that in this article we use the generic term "unit" or "per-unit," but your fundraiser will use the actual unit of measurement you indicated in experience setup (e.g. "mile," "lap," etc.).

  1. Go to my experiences in the left menu.
  2. If you have chosen list view, click on the title of your experience. If you have chosen grid view, click on the experience image.
  3. From the menu, select enter activity results
  4. Click actions in the upper right corner of the page, then click enter activity.
  5. Enter the details about the activity completed, then save

Your participants can also enter their own activity results right from their Dashboards. All they have to do is log in and go to my account

  1. Go to my experiences in the left menu.
  2. If you have chosen list view, click on the title of your experience. If you have chosen grid view, click on the experience image.
  3. From the menu, select enter activity results
  4. Click actions in the upper right corner of the page, then click import activity results
  5. Click the link in the dialog to download activity results upload template
  6. Open this spreadsheet, then fill it with your activity results in the format shown in the spreadsheet (all columns are required).
  7. When you’re ready, go back to the import activity results dialog and click select file
  8. Select the file with your activity results, then click import

Tips for importing activity:

  • The file format should be .CSV. You can save any spreadsheet in .CSV format from your spreadsheet editing program of choice (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
  • Activity Date should be formatted as: MM/DD/YYYY .
  • Make sure to enter the first name, last name, and activity name exactly as it appears on your experience.
  • For the units completed column, simply enter a whole number greater than zero (e.g., 10). Decimal numbers won't work.

Good to know

  • When you enter activity results, you'll notice that the amount raised for your experience won't reflect the results just yet. That will happen when you finalize your a-thon fundraiser at the end of your experience.
  • We recommend downloading our template at the beginning of your a-thon fundraiser if you want to enter your results into a spreadsheet and import them later. This is because you can log activity over time rather than all at once at the end.

Here are instructions for entering your own activity results
