Setting up your Stripe account is the first step in taking payments through your Givebacks store and Fundraisers. All you’ll need to get started is an email address, your organization's EIN, and banking details. Go to Financial Management and click on Stripe Settings.
Note: You will need to transfer your Stripe account to a new officer once you are no longer with your organization. It is very important that this is not missed during officer transition.
Setting Up Your Stripe Account

This setup should be completed by a person who is a signer on your organization's bank account.
You must set up a Stripe account through Givebacks, even if you have another Stripe account. Givebacks requires creating an Express Stripe account through your Givebacks site rather than connecting an existing external Stripe account. Stripe for the Givebacks is different than a standard Stripe account you may have.
When setting up the Stripe account, you are encouraged to use a personal email address instead of a general email address. Sign-in is tied to the individual, and authentication often requires confirmation of personal information.
If your email address is already associated with another Stripe account, you may need to use a different email for creating the Express account or collaborate with another administrator to set up the Express account.
From the toolbar, click on Financial Management, then Stripe Settings.
Click Setup Stripe Account.
Enter your email address (please use an email address that is not already associated with any Stripe account) and click Continue.
Note: Ensure the email address is not already associated with any other Stripe account to avoid conflicts during setup.
Enter your Mobile number and click Continue.
Enter the verification code sent to you by text.
If prompted, select Nonprofit organization as the type of business and click Continue.
Fill in the business details and click Continue at the bottom.
Legal Business Name as it matches your EIN
EIN: Your EIN may be provided. If it says Verification Failed, click Replace.

Enter your legal representative's information and click Continue. This information should be for your organization's treasurer or president.

Enter Banking Details.
You can search for your banking institution and use your online sign-on credentials to link your bank account, or you can select Enter bank account credentials instead to enter the routing and account number manually.
If you selected Enter bank credentials, enter the following:
Routing Number
Account Number
Confirm Account Number
NOTE: DEBIT CARDS ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED WHEN SETTING UP YOUR STRIPE ACCOUNT FOR GIVEBACKS DUE TO LIMITS AND EXPIRATION DATES, WHILE BANK ACCOUNTS DO NOT HAVE LIMITS OR EXPIRATIONS.
Verify the info is correct and click Continue.
Verify all information is correct and click Agree and Submit.
You will be taken back to your Givebacks Stripe Settings page, where you can see that your Stripe has been successfully connected.
Notes:
While you can create a Stripe account through Givebacks, the account terms are determined by Stripe, not Givebacks.

If you encounter email-related conflicts during setup, use a different email address or collaborate with another team administrator to create the required Express Stripe account.
