Learn how to offer and distribute enticing travel packages through your fundraiser.
If you want to offer appealing prizes for your fundraiser but aren’t sure where to begin, we have you covered. Givebacks (formerly MemberHub) offers prizes from our partner Winspire for your auction, raffle, or sweepstakes experience. Selecting from these ready-to-go prize packages can save you time, money, and effort. Winspire oversees all of the travel details and doesn’t require any payment upfront.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for incorporating Winspire prizes into your fundraiser:
1. Reserve your prize package
Winspire offers an extensive prize catalog with a wide variety of categories to choose from. Some of their most popular options include travel, food and wine, shopping and fashion, spa and relaxation, entertainment, and sports. Start by browsing through their prize catalog and selecting the prize(s) you’d like to offer. Once you have selected the prize, you will reserve it by clicking the REQUEST PACKAGE button. A reservation box will prompt you to enter your organization and event information. A help number is provided in case you have any questions.
You can even reserve two or more prize packages with similar prices and allow winners to choose their favorite. You will only pay for the one that is selected, so this bonus feature is completely risk-free!
2. Offer your prize
Once you’ve selected your prize package, it’s time to add it to your Givebacks experience. Prize packages can be added to the experience set up under the “raffle,” “sweepstakes,” or “auction” section, depending on your experience type. Upload the description and photos you would like to show for your reserved prize packages. This will display on your fundraising page.
3. Distribute the prize
Once your event has ended and someone has won a prize package, you will request an invoice from Winspire and pay for the package. To do this, log in to your Winspire account and select “Suitcase.” This will direct you to a page where you can record which packages have been won or sold. Once you pay the invoice, you can enter the winner’s information, and Winspire will assign them an agent.
Winspire’s end-to-end support allows the winner to work directly with the Winspire agent to redeem their prize, schedule their trip, and add guests or nights to their experience. Winners will have up to a year to begin booking their experience with their Winspire agents.
Note: While Winspire does not require any upfront costs, you commit to paying for a prize upon completing your experience. You can use the funds raised to pay for the Winspire prize; however, for legal reasons, we are unable to run a raffle or sweepstakes experience in which a minimum amount needs to be met before the drawing can happen. Thus, if the funds raised do not satisfy the amount needed to cover the prize’s price, the party running the experience will still be responsible for the cost of the prize package.
