Why can't I see the Send ACH Payment button to pay my state dues?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The most common reasons for not seeing the Send ACH Payment button are:

  • You are not listed as the President or Treasurer on the Compliance > Update Officers page.

  • You are listed as the President or Treasurer, but are logged in to Givebacks with a different email address than the one listed on the officers page.

  • There are no members listed on the member report.

  • You don't owe any state dues.

Are you listed as the President or Treasurer?

Within Givebacks, only the President, Co-President, or Treasurer can pay your state dues. Verify you are listed as one of these officers.

  1. From the toolbar, navigate to Compliance, and then select Update Officers.

  2. Review the list on your screen. Are you listed as President or Treasurer? If not, please ask one of those officers to pay the dues.

Are you logged in to Givebacks with the correct email address?

  1. From the toolbar, navigate to Compliance, and then select Update Officers.

  2. Review the list. Are you logged in with the same email address that is listed for your position?

  3. If you logged in with a different email, either log out and back in with the correct email or change the email on the officer list.

  4. If no officers are listed, please follow these steps to add your officers: How to Add Officers. Once you add yourself, you should see the button to pay dues.

  5. If someone else is listed for the position, please have one of your administrators correct the officer list or contact your state PTA leaders, and they can assist in getting this sorted out.

Are members listed on the member report?

If you are sure you are logged in as President or Treasurer with the correct email address, verify that there are members listed on your member report.

  1. From the toolbar, navigate to Memberships, then select Members.

  2. Do you see members entered in this list? If not, let's get them entered.

    1. Did you sell memberships through your online store? Make sure your membership products were set up under Store > Memberships. If you mistakenly created products under Store > Products, reach out to Givebacks support for help.

    2. Did you sell memberships with cash or check? If so, follow these steps to enter them. How do I enter memberships paid by cash/check? Once your members are entered, you should see the button to pay state dues on your Memberships > Remit State Dues page.

Have you already paid for all your members?

If you have verified you are logged in with the correct email address, have members entered, and still do not see the button to pay your state dues, please follow these steps:

  1. Start by looking at the total count of members on your Home page.

  2. From the toolbar, navigate to Memberships, then select Remit State Dues. Are dues owed for your organization?

  3. Review the Banner at the top. It indicates whether you owe state dues.

    1. If you see a blue banner saying there are no outstanding dues, you are all paid up. You do not see the button to pay state dues because you do not owe any.

    2. If you see a yellow banner stating that you owe state dues, have followed all the steps above, and still do not see the Send ACH Payment button (like shown below), please contact Givebacks Support.

  4. You can also review your state payment history. The Payments listed on your Memberships > Remit State Dues payments page should total the number of members you found on the dashboard on the Home page. If they do, no dues are owed, and this is why you are not seeing the Send ACH Payment Button.
