As a State/Region/District/Council PTA Leader, you can send messages to all or specific officers to all or specific local units within your state.
In Communications, you can select to send messages and newsletters to contacts within your Givebacks site or to officers across your state/region/district/council PTA.
Note: You can not message officers and contacts within one email. You can only select officers as recipients for officer messaging. If you would like to message officers as well as contacts or lists within your site, you will need to send two separate messages.
Sending messages to officers
From the toolbar, navigate to Communications. Select Messages.
Click the New Message button.
Under Officer Messages, select Officer Simple Email or Officer Newsletter.
In the Recipients section, click Add Officer Criteria to select the officer roles that you wish to receive this message. You can select as many officer roles as you wish.
In the Recipients section, click Add Unit/Site Criteria to select the units that receive this message. You can select as many units as you wish.
All Unit/Site: Selects all units across your state/region/district/council.
Unit/Site within hierarchy: Selects a group of units within a region, district, or council. This would not be applicable if you are a Council site sending a message to all units within your council, as there typically is no hierarchy below a council that local units are grouped under.
Stripe Status: This allows you to message officers based on their local unit site's Stripe Status: Connected or Not Connected
Select Unit/Site: Allows you to select specific units. You will need to select each unit from the list to message only those unit officers.
Click Save Draft.
Viewing Recipients
Once you have selected the Officer and Unit/Site Criteria, you will see a count of the recipients who will receive this message. Click the View Selected Recipients link to view a list of all users who meet the selected criteria and will receive your message.
Editing Recipients
Click on either criteria box to edit your recipient selections.
Edit your criteria or click Delete to remove the requirements. Click Save.
