To prepare for a successful in-person sales event, you should familiarize yourself with the Givebacks POS app. We have some suggestions below to help you prepare.
- Allow ample time before your event to pair your readers. You’ll need a 1:1 reader-to-device ratio. NOTE: Occasionally, firmware updates may be required, which can take a few minutes to install upon pairing. 
- Process a test transaction to become familiar with the app. If you plan to buy something for yourself anyway, just make your transaction the first one you try. 
- Hide any products you aren’t selling at your event. This will significantly improve navigation of the product list. To adjust the product visibility, go to Store > Products > click the three dots > select Edit Publishing > uncheck the box for Show in Point of Sale. 
- Consider selling items that don’t require additional information, as inputting this information will slow down the checkout process. 
- Please note that Membership items require a name and either an email address or phone number to complete the purchase. You may also choose to post a QR code to allow shoppers to purchase their membership items from their own devices. See How do I create a QR code for products in the store? for more information.
