What is a List?

A list is a way to group contacts whom you want to message easily. Contacts in a Givebacks site can be assigned to as many lists as you want. Communications can then be sent to specific lists.

Admins create and manage lists, but can adjust list settings to make lists visible for contacts to join using the Givebacks app.

Types of Lists

There are two types of lists:

  1. Manual List: A fixed set of contacts that only updates when manually edited. You can add people or allow join requests.

  2. Dynamic List: A set of contacts that automatically updates based on set filters, keeping contacts relevant without manual edits.

Creating Lists

Admins can create lists by going to Contacts, then Lists.

Subscribing to Lists

Contacts can subscribe to lists within the Givebacks app if enabled by the admin.

In the app, click on the Account icon, then select Orgs and Communications.

Select your organization, and select the lists to join.

Enabling the Site Joins Page

Admins can enable the Site Joins page to allow contacts to subscribe to lists. Go to My Organizations, then Info & Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the box to Enable Site Joins Page.
