Is there a link people can use to join our site?

You can use a link to send supporters to your public page, where they can join as a contact and opt in to receiving communications from your organization. This can be used alongside or as an alternative to manually adding people with email addresses.

Enabling the Site Joins Page allows your organization to provide a link to a public page where people can join your Givebacks site as a contact and opt in to receiving communication from you. They can also join specific lists if you choose to allow this. Those who opt in will automatically be added as contacts on your site. Admins can adjust list settings to either automatically add the requester to the list or to approve or reject requests.

Note: This does not add people as members. Use the Givebacks Store for this function.

Enabling the Site Joins Page

  1. From the toolbar, select My Organization, then Info & Settings. Scroll to Site Joins Page Settings.

  2. Enable Site Joins. Copy the Site Joins link or the QR code and share with your supporters.

Subscribing with a direct link

  1. The link will take people to the communications page in the Givebacks app, where they can opt in to communications and be added to your Givebacks site as a contact.

    Note: The supporter will need to log in to their Givebacks account or create an account.

  2. Click the Opt-In to Communications button.

  3. Contacts can also select to join lists by moving the toggle switch to the right.

Processing Join Requests

  1. Anyone who opts in to communications is automatically added as a contact.

  2. If the List is set to 'Allow any person to join,' the requester is automatically added to the list.

  3. If the List is set to 'Allow any person to request to join,' the admin will receive an email notification with a link to the List. They can also go directly to the contact list to accept the join request.

Subscribing through the app

Supporters can also subscribe directly through the app.

  1. Click on the Account icon, then select Orgs and Communications.

  2. Select your organization.

  3. Turn on the switch for Receive Communications.
