What is Pay with Rewards?

Givebacks Rewards is a cashback program where supporters earn Rewards when dining and shopping with participating merchants. With Pay with Rewards, logged-in supporters can now apply their available Rewards balance directly toward eligible purchases made through a Givebacks store checkout—helping lower out-of-pocket costs for school-related fees, spirit wear, donations, and more.

How to use Pay with Rewards

  1. Check your Rewards balance

    • In the Givebacks app, go to your Account area to view your Available Rewards amount.

    • If you don’t see a balance, you may be enrolled with $0 or may need to enroll in Givebacks Rewards.

  2. Apply Rewards during checkout, then complete your purchase

    • At checkout, find the Apply Rewards option and toggle it on to use your available Rewards.

    • If Rewards cover the full total: Your Total due can become $0.00 and you can complete checkout without adding another payment method.

    • If Rewards only cover part of the total: Apply what you can, then add a credit/debit card to pay the remaining balance.

  • What are Givebacks Rewards?

    Givebacks Rewards is a program where supporters earn cashback (Rewards) from participating dining and shopping merchants. Pay with Rewards lets you use those Rewards toward eligible Givebacks store purchases.

  • Can I use Pay with Rewards on any Givebacks Store purchase?

    Pay with Rewards is available for eligible purchases in Givebacks checkout. If you don’t see the Rewards option, the purchase may not be eligible, you may not be logged in, or you may not have an available balance.

  • Can I cover only part of my purchase with Rewards?

    If you elect to pay with Rewards, your entire balance will be applied toward the purchase. Any remaining Rewards will remain in your balance. If your Rewards don't cover the total, you will be prompted to add a secondary payment method.

  • What if my Rewards balance covers the entire total?

    If your Rewards fully cover the total due, you can complete checkout without adding a secondary payment method.

  • Does tipping still work if I use Rewards?

    Yes. If tipping is enabled for your purchase, the tipping flow remains intact when Rewards only partially cover the balance.

  • What happens if I need a refund for a purchase made with Rewards?

    For purchases where Rewards are applied, refunds are issued solely as Rewards for the full transaction amount and are not credited to the original payment method.

  • Why don’t I see “Apply Rewards” at checkout?

    Common reasons include:

    • You’re not logged in.

    • You’re enrolled, but your Rewards balance is $0.

    • You’re not enrolled in Givebacks Rewards yet (checkout may show an enrollment option).

    • The specific checkout flow or item is not eligible for Pay with Rewards.
