Managing blocked email addresses

Updated yesterday

To prevent sending invalid emails, Givebacks will block emails that are returned as bounced or invalid. A hard bounce occurs when an email fails to deliver for permanent reasons such as an invalid address or a non-existent domain, whereas a soft bounce might be temporary, caused by issues like a full inbox or server problems.

After an email bounces three times, it becomes blocked, and messages will no longer be sent to that address. If an email bounces for a permanent reason (it doesn’t exist), it will be blocked immediately. Examples of permanent bounce reasons include non-existent domains, invalid email addresses, or servers permanently rejecting messages.

Viewing Blocked Contacts

You can view a list of blocked contacts by filtering the All Contacts table. On the toolbar, select Contacts, then All Contacts. Click the Filters button, then from the Email Status dropdown, choose Blocked.

You can see the blocked status on the Contact's profile.
